Gnangara Mound and Pinjar South

Ken Travers and WA Labor Leader Eric Ripper meet with local residents and CREW members to discuss the State Government's proposal for a new industrial estate on the Gnangara mound.

Eric reaffirms WA Labor's opposition to industrial development on the Gnangara mound, and the protection of the single largest drinking water source for Perth.

Ken Tabled a further petition contain another 696 signatures opposed to development on Gnangara Mound

Ken Tabled a petition in Parliament on behalf of northern suburbs residents concerned about industrial development on the Gnangara Mound and the pollution of Perth's main water source.

In total, 4,518 people signed the petition.

Ken then moved the following motion in the Legislative Council:

"That this house calls on the Barnett Government to immediately cease progressing the planning of a new industrial estate on the Gnangara mound at Pinjar South."
